Stand-by Testing

If students missed deadlines and still wish to take one of the tests, they can do Stand-by Testing.  They will need to pick up a paper registration packet from Mrs. Brennan, fill it out completely, and write a check for the proper amount.  They must take the information to the school and get their name on a list.  It is important to get there EARLY!!!  Then wait and hope to get a spot.  Good Luck. For questions, please contact Mrs. Brennan.

MY SAT Online Score Report

When students get their SAT scores, this report helps them understand the meaning behind the numbers.  It is simplified and demystified.  For starters, students get a detailed breakdown of the numbers.  They see how they did relative to other kids across town and across the country.  They get tools that help match them to colleges and possible careers.  If students are considering taking the test again, MY SAT ONLINE SCORE REPORT has resources they can use to help them improve their scores. 

Test Prep Options

ACT offers Online Prep for the ACT.   Go to www.actstudent.org.  ACT also offers free practice questions, study tips, and questions with detailed answer explanations.  Go to www.actexampracticetests.com.     

Champions Christian Counseling Center offers a Kaplan SAT Prep Course.  They are located on Cherry Street in Tomball.  Call 281-357-4111.

Simply Tutoring offers preparation classes.  Contact Sue Abbott at www.simplytutoring.com.

College Board offers SAT Online Prep.  Go to www.collegeboard.com.

Kaplan and Princeton Review both offer small study groups in preparation for the SAT or ACT.  They will even come to your home.  The cost is $600+, depending on how personalized you want the program to be.  The following are links to the external websites mentioned:  www.kaptest.com and www.review.com. 

Method Test Prep offers web-based SAT and ACT prep courses.  This allows more flexibility for students who don't have the time to attend classes.  Go to www.methodtestprep.com for more information.   

Peterson's StudentEdge is a program that offers online preparation for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT.  There are even practice tests for many AP exams.  See Mrs. Brennan for the access code and Site ID.

SAT Prep Plan is an extensive SAT preparation site that contains a wealth of FREE SAT study content including streaming video, a custom study plan creator, and many practice problems.  The site is http://www.satprepplan.com/.
