Normally reserved for freshmen and seniors, trips to Camp Cho-Yeh have been extended the option to juniors and sophomores as a time to relax and get to know one another. CLHS students anxious, divided over Republican Primary With the U.S. Presidential election just around the corner, Concordia Lutheran High School students are gearing up to vote in perhaps one of the most important elections in our nation’s history. There is no doubt that it will be a heated one, with the Republican primary giving us a preview of the nastiness that can take place during an election season. It is perceived that high school students show no regard or have distinct political views, but that is not the case. READ MORE
CLHS prepares to join TAPPS 5-A In August 2012, Concordia Lutheran High School will join TAPPS 5-A. CLHS’ significant increase in enrollment has triggered TAPPS to promote CLHS into 5-A. READ MORE Lady Sader soccer team a darkhorse in TAPPS 4-A playoffs The Girl’s Soccer team, coached by Ashley Karpinski, had a very solid year and has great expectations in post-season tournament play. The team has welcomed a many new players who have showed up and contributed. Seniors Maggie Stewart and Anna Hudgins act as strong leaders for this team and play a pivotal role to the team’s success. READ MORE CLHS' Abshier on equestrian quest Concordia Lutheran High School Freshman Claire Abshier is coming off an impressive showing at “The Great Southwest Horse Show.” Abshier received a slew of awards, racking up six honors. READ MORE CLHS biblical archeology may unearth their faith in Israel this spring Concordia Lutheran High School students currently enrolled in the biblical archaeology class could be buried with excitement. Plans are in the works for a possible class trip to Israel to participate in an archaeological dig supervised by professional archaeologists. READ MORE Editorial: CLHS Faculty, Staff handled homecoming appropriately The October 29th morning assembly as well as the “no contact” memo on the projection screen the week before homecoming left many at Concordia Lutheran High School feeling a tad weary. Many felt that this year’s dance would be lame and no fun. This move by the CLHS administration was all done in direct response to the actions of a small minority at the 2010 Homecoming, with that certain measures were enacted to curb a repeat of those occurrences at the 2011 dance. READ MORE Fall Auction to feature artwork of CLHS art students In the past, Concordia Lutheran High School’s Fall Auction has been a feature event for the parents and faculty of the school. This year, CLHS has introduced the artwork of students to the items for sale. CLHS art teacher Steve Karner selected six students from his classes to contribute to the auction based on their artistic abilities. READ MORE Sader Football continues undefeated streak The Concordia Lutheran High School Crusaders defeated Houston Christian 41-7 September 16, improving to 4-0 going into district. The Crusaders improved to 5-0 overall 1-0 in district with their win against Lutheran North 41-0 on September 23. READ MORE

READ MORE CLHS Dress Code undergoes changes for 2011-12 Throughout the past four years the dress code at Concordia Lutheran High School has changed. Before these changes took place, the students were able to wear Christian shirts, striped shirts and plaid shirts. Over those years we have been limited to wearing Concordia t-shirts, collared shirts, and button down shirts. READ MORE Got milk? CLHS does! Got Milk? Concordia Lutheran High School is now serving milk at lunch. The school’s lunch program is now offering both chocolate and white milk for a dollar a carton. READ MORE

Homecoming dance sees some changes from last year Despite last homecoming being a hit with most students, this year’s homecoming will have some changes. READ MORE CLHS students, faculty and staff impacted by wildfires This year’s Labor Day did not involve the usual celebratory gatherings for some Concordia Lutheran High School families. High winds from Tropical Storm Lee along with the drought conditions fueled the wildfires throughout Montgomery, Grimes, and Waller counties. Many CLHS families were evacuated and displaced. CLHS brings home the Henderson Cup Concordia Lutheran High School earned the Henderson Cup last year. The Henderson Cup is a trophy awarded to the top school in TAPPS 4A that earns the most points in extracurricular activities. READ MORE CLHS freshmen bond with upper classmen, faculty at retreat More then 130 freshmen from Concordia Lutheran High School attended the freshmen retreat and bonded with their peers and the faculty. The students played paintball, Frisbee golf, swam in the lake, and played an intense game of flashlight tag. They also had time to sit down and reflect on God’s word and talk about the value of relationships.
